The Beat Goes On is a minigame in Mario Party 3.
Spear Guys play a sequence of four drum beats, and players take turns repeating the sequence without playing the wrong drum which disqualifies the player. When the sequence is done the player then plays a drum to extend the sequence further. When only one player remains that player wins. If the sequence reaches sixteen units and a player completes the sequence correctly the game ends in a draw and no one wins coins.
Why It Sucks
- The main problem with the minigame is that it usually ends up taking minutes to complete, which conflicts with the general setup of Mario Party minigames of being a short diversion from the main game.
- As explained above, if the sequence reaches sixteen units and a player completes the sequence correctly the game ends in a draw and no one wins coins, which means that minutes have been wasted to end up with no result.
- At least the title is accurate?
- This minigame was brought back in Mario Party: The Top 100. Nothing has been changed to make this minigame any better.
